Dry-type transformer is a kind of transformer using air as cooling medium, mainly used for conversion and transmission of electric energy. Unlike oil-immersed transformers, the windings and core of a dry-type transformer are not immersed in oil, and are usually covered with resin or insulating material, which provides better insulation.
